香港でインフルエンザのために小学校・幼稚園が全学休校

Hong Kong health authorities tried on Thursday to calm public fears over a flu outbreak which has left four children dead and led the city to close all primary schools and kindergartens.
It was the first time schools in this Chinese city have been closed for a health scare since the 2003 SARS epidemic, and the order came late Wednesday just hours after a flu-like illness was reported in nearly two-dozen schools.

　香港で、保健上の理由によって学校が閉鎖されるのは、2003年のSARS流行以来らしい。トリインフルエンザから生まれる新型インフルエンザの爆発に対する恐怖があるだけに、当局も神経質になっているのかもしれない。まあ、児童が4人死んでいるらしいから、警戒するのも無理はないなあ。とはいえ、過剰反応すると、今度はパニックを引き起こしかねないし、行政も難しいだろうなあ。
