米大統領予備選挙、アイオワでは、オバマ、ハッカビーがリード？

The last major poll before the Iowa caucuses shows Democrat Barack Obama and Republican Mike Huckabee atop their races=both enjoying significant but not insurmountable leads.The Des Moines Register survey, taken between Dec 27-30, has Obama up over Hillary Clinton 32 percent to 25 percent. John Edwards takes 24 percent. The newspaper attributed Obama's growing lead to a "dramatic influx of first-time caucusgoers."

　ヒラリー・クリントンで決まりかと思われた米大統領選挙。1月3日のアイオワ予備選挙の事前調査で、民主党はオバマ、共和党はハッカビーが優勢という結果が出たらしい。1年前には予想もされなかった事態。オバマも善戦するとは思われていたが、ここへきてヒラリーを逆転する可能性も出てきた。一方、ハッカビーは昨年の今頃は全く注目されていなかった。序盤戦は各候補入り乱れての乱戦か。ここからは一戦一戦が死闘になるのだな。
