ソニーのVAIO type Pは、パワーのないスポーツカーみたいだと

I love the look and feel and boldness of the design, but can't recommend this sleek machine for most users because it is very slow and has poor battery life. Oh, and it sells for double or triple the price of other small laptops, commonly called netbooks.

　米国のデジタル・グールーのひとり、ウォルト・モスバーグが､ソニーの話題のモバイルPC、VAIO type Pをとりあげているが、デザインを賞賛しつつ、処理速度は遅く、バッテリーも貧弱だと･･･。パワーのないスポーツカーみたいって、上手いこと言うなあ。アップルとソニーはともに消費者をターゲットにして、洗練されたデザインが売り物だが、自前のソフトウエア、OSを持っていないところがソニーの弱みだとも言っている。ソニーもいっそのこと、Linuxに洗練されたシェルをかぶせることを考えたほうがいいのかもなあ。
